Welcome to the Upcycle Kernow Tool Library!
We are a volunteer-led community project offering participants the knowledge, skills and tools to re-think resources.
We will be mainly lending tools useful in DIY, gardening and textiles, e.g. wrenches, table saws, electric drivers, socket sets etc. - i.e. anything you might need to borrow!
Tool Libraries aren't just about borrowing tools though - they bring people together, create communities, help to combat isolation and poverty, improve the social and mental wellbeing of its members, creating intergenerational skills sharing that allow members to reach their full potential.
All of the tools are maintained by our volunteers to be safe and efficient, but if you have any questions please ask.
Training is offered for certain tools, so arrive early for pick-up to be given guidance on use (there is a donation required).
Membership
To start borrowing things you first need to sign up as a member of Upcycle Kernow Tool Library for only £25. You can then start to borrow the things that you need for a small one-off fee.
There is an additional obligatory donation for training on tool use.
We also require ID to verify your membership so please bring either your passport or driving license when you come to pick up your tools.
Donations
If you have a tool that you'd like to donate to us, please contact us at toollibrary@upcyclekernow.org and we'll arrange a time for you to come and show us what you've got!
